Wi-Fi
There are several public Wi-Fi access points around Nozawa including Gondola Stations, the Tourism Association. and some restaurants/shops.
SIM Cards
Data only sim cards are available for short-term visitors with unlocked (Sim-free) smartphones, at IXSM Travel.
PC Computer
A computer with English OS/keyboard is available at IXSM Travel free of charge with any drink purchase.
Public Phones
Nozawa has several public phone booths. The most convenient one is located just down from the central bus terminal. Please note that public phones cannot make international calls, except when using an international phone card.

Currency Exchange
You can exchange your currency at either the Nagasaka Gondola’s Ticket Counter or the Nozawa Onsen Tourism Association.

Exchangeable currencies are currently limited to the following: USD, AUD, EUR, SGD, CNY, TWD. The amount one person can exchange is limited to 100,000 JPY and exchanging from JPY to any other currency is not possible. You may need proof of identity so don’t forget your passport.
Please note that there are no places where traveller’s cheques can be cashed in Nozawa.
