Medical facilities in Japan can be categorised into hospitals and clinics. Quite often clinics are only run by a single doctor and specialise in one area or may have a few doctors who specialise in several areas. While hospitals are larger facilities which are better equipped to deal with a range of specialisations, as well as emergencies.

Interpreter Service

When you have an EMERGENCY, there is HELP!

IXSM Travel service will be running a 24-hour Japanese/English interpreter service, available for medical emergencies or any other circumstance that requires the use of an interpreter*.

*Interpreting services in an emergency situation are generally claimable on travel insurance. Please contact your insurance provider for more details.

Should you require interpreting services, they are available through IXSM Travel with complimentary transfers. Please note that in the event of an emergency these are generally claimable on Travel Insurance.

Service Price: ¥5,000 first 1 hour / ¥2,500 every half-hour following

After hours service will incur a 20% surcharge (18:00 - 08:30)

Complimentary transfer to/from the hospital is available if required.
